What banjo should I buy?

I am an aspiring banjo player hoping to buy my first five string banjo. I know well when you play the guitar and bass and I'm just hoping to pick up a new intrument. I currently have a guitar fernandez Ravelle (350.00 $) Electrical and love the way he plays. What price range would you recommend for me and banjos in this price range would you recommend

Nice Washburn banjos made. You can pick one up for only about $ 150. Deering and Gibson make beautiful banjos same course that will cost you more. Have you considered make your own banjo? I used to own a Washburn, but had to sell it, so I made my own banjo. Mine is a banjo style mountain (Appalachian). I also made a cookie tin banjo for a friend on child learn. It was incredibly easy to do, and although it sounds different from a bluegrass banjo (it sounds more metallic), it is always fun to play and sounds good.
